November 5th, 2008 Meeting

 



 

 
As you can see our Tail Twister, Lion Jessie,  got hold of Lion Cliff's tie for being so ugly.
All that didn't agree with her decision got fined, all who didn't laugh got fine as well.
 

Lion Treasurer Jerry gave a report of finances which was most favorable.  District contributions were made in the amount of $3963.00.
Lion Secretary JJ reminded us of the Zone meeting on Nov. 18, Cave Spring Clubhouse at 6:30pm.
 
Lion Lew and Lion JJ handed out awards from the Fall Conference to club members that we not able to attend.
 

Lion Bates, PDG, received a Governor's Appreciation Award.
 
Lion Marvin Gilliam received a Governors Appreciation Award.
Lion Secretary received the 100% Secretarie's Award.

Lion President Leonard accepts the VA Hearing Hearing Foundation Award.
Lion Treasurer Jerry received the 100% Treasurer's Award.
Lion Cliff, PDG and Mary Ann received and International Award for their work with the MOM and RAM projects.

Lion JJ holds up our club's  State Achievement Award for 2007 - 2008.

PDG, Lion Jo Nelson gave a program on  Community and Environmental Action.

 
She gave a unique analogy on the needs of others in the community based on the characters in the Wizard of Oz.
Very interesting and thought provoking.
PDG, Lion Jo did the honors of drawing for member card and 50/50.

 


 
Lion Ellen won the 50/50 draw but selected the wrong card.  The pot is now over   $150.
